3 Pianos | THE BATTLE AT RAPPAPORT
3 Pianos | THE BATTLE AT RAPPAPORT
Three concert grand pianos on one stage is a rare occurrence, even for major philharmonic halls. It presents complex logistics and an acoustic challenge, but this is the format chosen by Gig House regulars for their largest show yet.
This evening, the atmosphere of an intimate jazz club is transferred to a large hall. Along with a powerful rhythm section, three pianists with completely different temperaments will take the stage for a no-holds-barred jam session.
Battle participants:
🎹 Daniel Kruglov — pianist with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and Big Band. A musician with a unique sense of humor, he is known for his ability to transform rigorous classical music into ironic jazz on the fly. In this trio, he is responsible for the symphonic scope and unexpected improvisational turns.
🎹 Yaroslav Obraztsov is a representative of the new wave, raised in the traditions of St. Petersburg, and the leader of the Intuitive Project jazz band. He is a pianist touring worldwide. His style is characterized by contemporary intensity, complex rhythms, and harmonic freedom.
🎹 Sergey Nikityuk is a virtuoso soloist who combines academic tradition with jazz drive. He possesses fire in his hands, and the piano sounds most fully, creating a foundation for his colleagues' experiments.
What's on the program:
This is not a solo performance, but a simultaneous game and competition.
A multi-genre crossover: jazz standards in the author's reworkings, classical pieces in funk and swing rhythms, and spontaneous polyphony born here and now.
264 keys, three perspectives on music, and one rhythm section.
Come see three masters share the stage.
