A Jazz Interpretation of Film Classics
On February 13, Gig House will host a concert dedicated to reimagining iconic film scores. The program combines music that has become the cultural code of several generations with the freedom of contemporary jazz.
The focus will be on original arrangements of Ennio Morricone masterpieces, expressive themes from Quentin Tarantino films, the epic Pirates of the Caribbean, and selected songs from Israeli cinema. This is not a retrospective of soundtracks, but rather their complete deconstruction and reinterpretation performed by a trio of virtuoso Gig House residents.

Soloists for the evening:
Daniel Kruglov (piano): A pianist and composer whose signature style defines the intellectual direction of the program. His arrangements transform familiar melodies into complex, multi-layered works.

Neritan Topciu (double bass): In this program, Neritan performs as a full-fledged soloist. With his unique technique, he elevates the double bass beyond the rhythm section, imbuing it with the expressiveness and melodiousness of a cello. His international experience (including working with Stevie Wonder and many other leading contemporary performers) and his status with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and Haifa Big Band guarantee an exceptional level of performance.

Stas Zilberman (drums): One of Israel's leading jazz and fusion masters. His participation provides the program with dynamic depth and complex rhythmic structure.
