A Tribute to Charlie Parker

Charlie Parker is one of the most important figures in the history of jazz, a musician who forever changed the language of improvisation and became one of the founders of bebop. His music continues to resonate today and inspire new generations of jazz musicians.

In the new concert "A Tribute to Charlie Parker," Robert Anchipolovsky and his quartet explore the legacy of the great alto saxophonist, performing Parker's music and works associated with the golden era of bebop.

For Robert Anchipolovsky, the music of Charlie Parker is not just an important part of jazz history, but a fundamental source of his own musical language. The program will feature well-known compositions from Parker's repertoire, as well as jazz standards given new life through his legendary interpretations. The quartet consists of:
Robert Anchipolovsky (alto saxophone)
Gilad Shmaya (piano)
Dima Gorodsky (double bass)
Stas Zilberman (drums)

This will be a concert of lively, energetic, and improvisational jazz—with fast tempos, virtuoso solos, subtle interaction between the musicians, and that special atmosphere of freedom that has become the main legacy of bebop.
